Citing your sources is an important part of the research process and it is essential that you credit those whose work you consult in the course of your research.

Different disciplines use different citing styles. Your professor will let you know which guidelines to use.

The most common guidelines are:

  • MLA -- Modern Language Association
  • APA -- American Psychological Association
  • Chicago/Turabian
